Carrier Transport: IP Ethernet & Wavelength DWDM

In addition to our regional last mile and backbone networks, A2D operates a long-haul fiber network that provides optical transport to key peering hubs, carrier neutral data centers, and carrier interconnection points. A2D can retain the required fiber IRU agreements with the largest domestic and international carriers to ensure diverse connectivity to any place in the world.

A2D is ready to deploy either our Mesh Core/Routing System within our Regional/Middle Mile Networks or our DTN switched DWDM Digital ROADM system (Remotely configurable Optical Add/Drop Mux) to provide long-haul connectivity. Regardless of which network sub-system is used, A2D can provide our carriers and providers with more than 400Gbps of aggregated middle mile capacity per core, or multuple terrabits of dedicated capacity via our transport WAVE network.

  • 400Gbps of agreggate DWDM capacity betwen regional PoP CORES (can expand to 1.6Tbps with minimal effort)

  • Middle Mile Premise Access provides 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps IP Ethernet services or aggregated 40Gbps, 80Gbps, and 100Gbps links

  • GMPLS enabled for diversity requirements

A2D, Inc. (A2D) is an open-access, wholesale fiber-to-the-premise, Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) who specialize in developing open access networks in underserved rural and urban communities.


Our primary customers are telecom-based carriers who use our network to delivery enhanced IP services where their network either doesn't exist or can't support.
